Nothing here is a statement about the water at any particular address. That is the important part.

The short version

Routing and information are the whole of the service. SoftenWell installs no equipment, stands outside any agreement you reach with a contractor, and makes no claim whatever about the water supplied to any particular address.

SoftenWell is a referral service, not an installer. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. Every state page sets out who licenses plumbers there and where to check, so you can confirm before work begins. We install nothing, we sell no equipment, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

The relationshipWe are not the contractor

SoftenWell is a referral service. Any work is carried out by an independent contractor under an agreement between you and them. We are not a party to it, we do not set prices, and we do not supervise or guarantee the work.

The information hereGeneral, not a survey

Everything on this site is general information drawn from published sources, which are named on the page where they are used. It is not a survey of your property and not a substitute for a hardness test or a contractor's assessment. Figures reported by third parties — the EPA, the US Geological Survey, Penn State Extension — are reproduced as published and may be superseded.
